My research focuses on the juncture of impression management and impression formation. I have applied this perspective to prejudice as a way to explore intergroup relations. I also examine the role of empathy in overcoming the discrepancies between views of self and other, both inside and outside interracial interactions. I am now spending more time on both my own pedagogy and helping colleagues with their pedagogy.

Primary Interests:

  • Intergroup Relations
  • Person Perception
  • Political Psychology
  • Prejudice and Stereotyping
